okay, i'm thinking of building a case out of lexan or other type of clear plastic. I will only have access to a drill and a circular saw.

I was wanting to make a smaller case but not one that is really tiny. it will have two cd drives, a floppy, hd, normal psu, and a kt7a. oh and some water. i just want to make it smaller than the one i have now, which shouldn't be too hard.

i haven't seen any examples of normal size cases. does anyone know of a site that would show one? i've seen the premade one but i doubt i can bend the plastic that way. the small boxes people make for mp3s are cool but they don't help me all that much with the back and holding the pci cards in. and how to design the front.

how hard is it exactly to get the glue to work, or should i just go with screws? thanks for any advice.

I'm hardly an expert on this, but Lucite would be a better material than Lexan. Also, your oven can be a great help for molding your case.

actually, the stuff i've read on the internet have said that it would be bad to do the oven trick because of the buildup of fumes.

i've got a heater that may work though. but i'm not all that sure if i will even want to bend it.

went to home depot tonight and it looks like i will have to order it somewhere, they didn't have it thick enough.

that and the lucite is way cheaper than the lexan. the guy at the store said lexan would be more scratch resistant but i've heard overwise on the web also.

somewhat of a wasted trip i guess.

thanks for the input.
