Has any one moded the stock cooling on the KG7 north bridge? I attempted to take off the fan and heatsink but the heatsink has plastic clips holding it to the board I'm not sure the best way to take these off. I Don't really want to take out the mobo to find out ....;)

I replaced the Heatsink on my 8K7A, and yes youl probably have to take teh mobo out, sorry. Northbridege cooling is well worth it though.

I believe you need to pinch the clips with a needlenose on the backside of the mobo...

Yah I kind of figured I was going to have to take out the motherboard...ah well...:) WyrmMaster did the cooling of the north bridge help your FSB? And what heatsink did you use? I
haven't bought anything yet just going to throw some AII on for now..seems like the stock heatsink is barely making contact most likely because of the plastic clips  .....Thanks
