Honestly other than looking real spiffy they're not worth the price. If you use it thinking it'll dissapate more heat..I think you're cooling your computer wrong.
Steel cases are cheaper, sturdier can take a beating and still last. Heck use them as chairs if you have none. Aluminium is light and easy to mod if that's what you like. If you LAN a lot it's could be worth it. But if your computer just sits under the table doing nothing, you're better off with a steel case.
Now that that's outta the way. Lian Li is very popular. Easy and good to work with and inside of. They have fans on the HDD bay to blow cool air into you HDD's. Getting 431 Enermax PSU's in there means you'll have to take off the grill. If your CD-Rom vibrates a lot. Be ready for a lotta noise=)
any other choice besides Lian-Li?
It's too expensive.

Skyhawk makes aluminum cases that are a bit cheaper than LianLi cases, but not as nice IMO

Where does the noise come from... I am thinking about buying one of these for my water cooled rig and the whole idea of going water is to keep the noise down.

its all about coolermaster (http://www.coolermaster.com) when it comes to aluminum cases ... they are bank but they look dead sexy ... if a case could ever look sexy.
anywayz, i have an atc-201 and this'll probably be the only case i'll be using for a long, long while. before i got the case, i was ditching regular cases left and right everytime i upgraded my system and the cost alone for all those cases easily justified the price of a nice aluminum case.
some coolermaster cases might be around your set price of $200 so you might want to check them out.

It's from the CD-Rom vibrating against the sides. Aluminum isn't as sturdy even if you screw it up tight. My yamaha 2100S did this so I took it out.
Does Aluminium help any thermal cooling.
or just thin?
or any advantage of steel case?
Alluminum cases you can think of a "bigger heatsink."
If you won't go above 200 bucks I would recommend just a full tower than with lots of 100cfm+ case fans then, I wouldn't be worried about bad air flow or anything.
Ive been thinking of getting this one myself...

Big heatsink my ass. Any cooling benefits comes from a well designed case and airflow, not material. Any well designed quality steel case can beat a poorly designed aluminum case. Any benefits would be negligible if non-existent anyways

Any well designed quality steel case can beat a poorly designed aluminum case and a pinto running 92 octane will beat a ferrari running on orange juice. let's compare apples to apples here ;)
