View Full Version : Kick me out
When palying Emperor:Battlw for Dune and Ut under Windows XP Professional after awhile it will either kick me back to my desktop or reboot my system. What could be causing this???Also I plug in my USB mouse and it doesn't find it???

Is your system overclocked at all? XP doesn't like major OCing a whole lot. Also, is your RAM running in spec? That can cause alot of problems as well.

how do you play game by using mouse if winxp doesn't find your mouse?...............interesting.................. ......
do you have anything run in the background while playing games ?
try to disable it.................then play game.........
My USB mouse doesn't work. PS/2 mouse works-no overclocking everything set to defaults

disable any background applications before playing game?
chaos you r probably dealing with an AGP issue. how is it set to? do u know about aperture size, fast writes and all its settings?
u got to enter the BIOS and check for them; try disabling fast writes and sideband addressing because they r the most frequent causes for problems like yours.
then if you still get the problem try lowering the AGP interface to 2x if youre using 4x - in order to know where the problem is you can also try decreasing it to 1x if setting it to 2x not solve the problem.
actually there r several other things to try out not involving only the AGP settings but you can start trying those ones above. u can try later another version of the video card driver. btw which one is it? some ppl using the video card manufacter drivers use to get problems like yours: i recommend you to use detonators if youre not yet.
I don't know much about XP but if it's ne thing like 2000 it will have the reboot on error command. Maybe that's on.
