i was wondering how far i can overclock this:
asus p5b deluxe
intel E6300
1GB DDR2 PC6400 CL5.0 HyperX
nvidea 7600GT

I saw some overclocks with that but i don't know if they use their pc daily. I want to use my pc daily for at least 3 years. I was planning on buying the zalman CNPS9500-AT for CPU cooling.

And another question: how much Watt power supply would be enough for this?

I have never had a PC for over 14 months (lol!), so i cant really say

But i run mine at 3.5ghz (500mhz fsb) because thats the max my motherboard will let

on 1.41v, the life of it wouldnt be cut by much i would assume, the CNPS 9500 does a fine job of cooling it, but then again, me running caseless and putting it near a window probibly helps too :D

...putting it near a window probably helps too :D
Especially if you live in Alaska ;)

it will all come down to how fast your ram can run. to get 3.5ghz, you will need 500fsb. won't be a problem for the p5b-dlx, but the ram might not like running 500mhz, or ddr2-1000.

CPU's are designed to last a very long long time. If anything the motherboard will give out well before the CPU if its overclocked without going too overboard.

ok, but its possibly to get the FSB higher then the RAM speed, or isnt that very good for the performance so its better to run them 1:1.

And also how many Watts is enough for it?

You are either running 1:1 or ram will be running faster then the FSB. Unfortunatly its not the other way around. In the past you could run the CPU faster then the ram but don't think its a feature anymore since ram runs so fast these days.

For a system like that mind you not any heavy OCing probably a 400W PSU would get you by. But if you upgrade anything you'll need a new PSU like GPU for instance. 520W (aka like something like mine) would do you very well for a long time.
