Alright guys i just signed up for seti and installed BOINC. :beer:

Not sure if i setup BOINC correctly. How do i know if i joined the ocforum team?

Easiest way I know to check if you're on the team is to hit the "Your team" button under the Projects or Tasks tab in BOINC - it should be second from the bottom ...

thanks for the welcome guys! Another question for yall. Is it possible to control more then ones systems BOINC tasks? Say i install and run BOINC on my backup machine, can i control both systems boinc from my main machine on the same client?

No, you would have to run a program like BOINCView ( Google Search Link (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=boincview&btnG=Google+Search) ). I have not run this program, so I would not be much help in advising how to use it, other than using the directions from the first search link. Hope this helps. :thup:

I have a spare pc, that i use for burning dvd's so when i am not doing that i can let it run for at least 12 hours a day, and thank you all for the welcome.

i was told every tuesday they update the servers, and on tuesdays you won't get any new work until late in the day , go into prefs and increase number of days to report back to server and sah will download enough work to keep you busy on tuesdays, i have mine set at nine days, i think you can't exceed ten days.
