Athlon@2.1Vcore + Alpha PAL 8045

Is it safe for 2.1Vcore with The alpha pal air cool?

What temp. should i expect?

sounds like a high vcore to me, but I have no experience that high.

Edit: Nevermind, I thought you were taking your Duron that high...

btw, the duron is now @ 1.824Vcore.
I am planning to get a athlon xp and oc it with 2 or more Vcore.

I am curious if the alpha pal can handle that much heat...

yeah it can handle it but sometimes there is little gains with a bump from 2.0 to 2.1 for vcore. the alpha will keep the xp cool but remember that the higher you overclock at a higher vcore the more heat you produce so 1.8@2.1volts will be a toasty little chip producing around 100watts.

So, anyone know about what temp. will the Alpha Pal have when an Athlon XP @ 2.0 or 2.1 or 2.2 or anything above 2Vcore?

I just want to see if the temp will be under 50C or not.

Well I don't have the answer to your question, but I do know that the Alpha can keep my T-Bird (1200@1490) @ 1.95V at 45C, that's pretty darn good IMHO! It depends on witch fan you get to your Alpha....
