What should I expect with phase change cooling and a good motherboard?

Y do you keep asking this same question over and over ?
Y not just put your 3000 + under a SS

Ya put your 3000+ under the Phase. If your planing on getting a new CPU might as well go for a C2D or something similar to play with, newer and more records to break.

I already have the SL77T. I already have a motherboard to use with it and a phase change cooler. I just want to know if it would have a high overclock percentage so I can get more impressive results for science fair. The motherboard the 3000+ is in tops out at 16% overclock. I'm not sure if that's enough to convince people that phase change can bring a lot. I am currently playing with an old 633MHz Celeron (got 50% overclock easily), but I think it's too old to really display. I'd just like to use something that is more recent, while trying to keep the costs low.

50% OC on those low Celerons where easy on air back in the day :)
Ah thats why you what you want a good CPU for. Well its all guess work of how far it will actually go but you can check the CPU database on the front page to help with some results at least.

a new 631 could do 6ghz. i've seen someone do 5.5ghz on air. :O that would be impressive for a science fair. ;)
that may be a bit too pricy but it sure would be a fun cpu.

Single core would be the best for his experimental purpose. Lower temps then dual core and cheaper as well.
