2 nic cards, 1 pci , 1 isa,
i card has a the standard(i think) port (bit bigger than the phone wall socket (uk)and very similar) these are the same port size as all the college comps so i assume its a standard size,
thing is the pci card has a thing like ps2 port as well as the "standard" can i install these join with cables and both of us can surf the web using the same 56k connection at the same time?TIA&peace out

Yes.
The ISA card with the hole that looks like a ps2 connector is a coaxial cable used in older networks. But that card is more than likely going to be limited to 10Meg/second.

its the pci card thats got the co-ax adapter but basically this works no probs?;)
BTW-does that mean whoever gets the crap card can only do the web at 10meg a sec? if so would i be better gettin 2 10/100 fast ethernet cards?

Connections to the Web through cable modems are limited to 4 MB/s, AFAIK. So a 10 Base T-the 10 Mb/s PCI NIC with the Coax port as well as a Cat 3/5 port is just fine to uplink to the Web. The bigger than standard "phone" connection has an RJ-45 plug, vs. a phone connection which sports an RJ-11 plug) The "100" of the more up to date 10/100 NIC's only comes into play when boxes on a LAN are "talking" to each other.
