No this isn't a battle of Nvidia vs ATI... I just have a quick Q.
Friend of mine is looking at me building him good PC on the cheaper side. He doesn't really game aside from a few simple games, no HL2 or anything like that.
Onboard video sounds good for him. I plan on sticking him with an X2, and I see that I can get an X300 "based" integrated video, or an integrated Nvidia 6100.
Which line is more powerful? I'm not very caught up on my latest ATI GPU's.

nVidia 6100 would be much better, not only because of the graphics part, but also because of a much more performing chipset. The 6150 would be even better.
nVidia all the way

nvidia not all the way?
The X300 external and intergrated are the same... but seeing how that says "based", could you just show the mainboard you're thinking of buying?

I'm unsure of what mobo I want. I was just going through newegg and picking a motherboard under $100, supports an X2, and I wasn't sure which graphics chipset to pick. The ones that stood out at me were the X300 based, Nvidia 6100, and Nvidia 6150.

They're both about the same as far as onboard videos.
But for price, get the Biostar Tforce 6100 939 motherboard. It's a known good overclocker. You can combine that with a cheap 3400+ single core and OC it... I think less than 150 for cpu/gpu/mobo is pretty good.

Humm... all of the mobos that use the Nvidia 6150 use DDR2, all of the ones that use the X300 or the 6100 use standard DDR.
What gives?
BTW this comp will remain stock, no OC for him.
