I'm not sure if I know what you are referring to. Could you be more specific?

They are not that hard to cut. We have used them in the lab at times with the top cut off. You need a good rock cutter with a diamond blade though to do it right. Notusre how you are going to use this for computers though:D

BTW, since noone has said this yet, yes they are hollow.

glass dust is very bad for your lungs so use some kind of wet saw to do this otherwise your lungs are going to hate youl.

Is this for a water tank for water cooling? How about a water block on the cpu? Aren't those things all bumpy and stuff? Just wondering;)

i was planning to use them by drilling two holes in it and using it as a cool looking res.
Clear plastic, or plexiglass would work good with the same effect.
Plus not as heavy and won't take your hand off if you break it or do something to shatter it, heh..

Exactly!... but!... if you were to do a fancy - semi-permenant design to build it into your wall with a neon tube to light it up.... that would be AWESOME!
would look cool and you can drill it out but a little brass connector in and a neon or cc tube would look really nice.
