Would it be possible to run the memory at 166mhz(single channel 256mb stick), the CPU at 133mhz(Celeron D 352, 533mhz FSB), and still be able to use the onboard intel graphics without running into stability problems?

I have seen where the nVidia NF2 IGP(for AMD) ran into problems with certain FSB's and would like to know if any similar problems have been experienced with Intel's 865G chipset.

Any information/insights would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think so...
why would you want to anyway?
Performance is usually best when mem and fsb is synchronised. So, keeping the dividers 1:1 would be better. If you don't overclock maybe you can lower the timings on the mem and have about the same performance as in the setup you sugested (which I believe is only possible on the new 680i chipset)
If you would overclock you might hit the 166 fsb and have your mem running that too!

Just a thought.

Thanks for the response, if it runs better synced, I will just leave it at 1:1 then.

The memory I have is a 256mb stick of Samsung CL3 PC3200, and I have been able to get the timings to 2-2-2-5 @ 133 and it passes several hours of memtest error free at those settings. Although I have decided to just run the memory at 2.5-3-3-6 @ 133 to be on the safe side for the long run. I haven't got XP to boot just yet(waiting to borrow a disk for a repair install), so I haven't been able to run any stability testing yet.

Merry Christmas! :santa2:
