Whats the difference between uping the fsb compared to chaning the multipiler ratio, oc wise?

higher FSB vs higher multipier, the higher FSB would be faster, also raises ram frequency with most boards(all boards cept some of the newer ones ;))
best way to find out wich combination is best for you is to run benchmarks.
dual spi 32meg times
memtest l1 cache speed
sandra cpu ari/multimedia tests
some times a lower fsb with a higher ram multiplier yeilds better performance.
atleast thats based from my tests i dont know if anyone else has gotten similar results.
in my case running the ram on a multiplier yields better performance increases to running the cpu on a similar freq with lower multy and similar speed ram.
From what ive seen in memtest running ram on a multi instead of 1:1 seems to oc the cache speed (wich is probably why ive seen good gains)
Best gains ive seen tho where at 425x8 1:1 4-4-4-12
but this requires over 1.5vcore to stabilize in my case. wich means i need all fans on max (very loud and annoying) and still gets me rather high temps (low to mid 60s depending on ambient)
So anyways like i was saying earlier do some benches its pretty much the only way to be sure
hope this was helpful
