Yep! Got myself an awsome *rolls eyes* Audigy SE... I had asked for an Audigy 4 SE, but you know non tech people, they get lost easily, oh well. Anyways.. The sound card does work because it works in my parents Duron system, but not in my system... *specs in sig*... Windows SAYS it's working fine, I have used the creative troubleshooter and it doesn't work! I am going insane here!
Anyone have any magic ideas? I'm fresh out! (getting frustrated just thinking about ALL the time I wasted today...)

if your not using digital out go into the advance properties in the sound mixer in windows and turn off digital output only

this is not turned on by default, and is off. This is really retarded, and just to avoid some further questions like testing my headset/headphones, already did, they work fine. Also I used the test hardware wizard in xp and it shows that it's getting audio input, and is at least trying to output audio (audio levels jumping, meaning audio is working..) but nothing comes out my headphones.... Again, this worked in the duron, with my headphones... >.<

Did you disable the onboard sound?

of course, but the funny thing is the duron system had 0 problems, and i even left onboard enabled, not that onboard always causes problems, you can have multiple audio devices. I've even went as far as disabling all ports in my bios, hoping it was some sort of IRQ conflict... but it has it's own IRQ, and windows would report an error if it was conflicting, anyways.
Hmm, the only other difference i can think of is (besides obvious hardware differences):
Duron = XP Home SP1
My System = XP Pro SP2

w/e, I give up, I'm not about to replace my mobo to get this pos to work. Seems that it's all down to a mobo conflict or something, i tried:
Windows 2000
Windows XP Home SP2
Windows XP Pro SP2
Kubuntu Linux
ALL detect it, install it, say it's working, but NO SOUND OUTPUT... hmm.. oh well, back to my realtek onboard, i'll just sell this thing for like $25 since it DOES work, just not on my mobo.. >.<

Try another PCI slot, i had problem with Hercules sound card, where it would work only in one of PCI slots but not in others.
