yea i got a friend that i built a computer for and i used a 400watts psu for a 1.4 ghz tbird. it is a powmax lp-6100x atx power supply. one day after he came back from school, pressed the power button and it made a sound like this dddddddrrrrrrrrrrr. the he tried to turn on the comp again and nothing worked. So he called me over and we tested the psu by connecting the power good wire with the black wire on the atx connector and it didint even go on. not even the fan in the psu went on. then we pluged it back into the motherboard but nothing went on, not even the harddrives. Im pretty sure its the psu but i want ur opinion on this.

If the fan on the psu is not working then it is dead.

the fans not turning, and u jumped the green and black and got nothing, it must be the psu, but just trade out and be sure if u are hesitant
