View Full Version : Fluid XP+ ?
Well, all the parts for my new loops have arrived except the EK 8800GTS blocks. However, I'm wondering if I should keep using Zerex in my loop (which stains the tubing pink), or if I should switch over to Fluid XP+? I've got a quart of the Fluid XP+ sitting around from when Danger Den tossed it in on an order I made about a year ago.
Any thoughts on the advantages/disadvantages?

im personally a distilled water/antifreeze/idodine kinda guy, it saves some money.
but its up to you, if zerex dies the tubing, does it matter? is it worth using up the fluid xp? if the zerex is still good, i would still use it.

I personally had the Fluid XP and didn't like it at all. It started out looking awesome, UV reactive and all. But since I have a MCP655, it literally shredded the liquid, making it have parts that are clear, and the blue dye, which stuck to my tubing/waterblocks/reservoir. I would not recommend using it, but I side with darkcow and use a 50/50 distilled water and radiator fluid.

distilled, antifreeze, iodine guy here. Simple to maintain and I'm happy with it :D
even fluid xp will stain your tubes with out any dye in it, i have been running it in my loop for a long time now

I've pretty much come to the conclusion after W/C for 4 years now that stained tubes is a fact of watercooling. I think I might try it and see if I like it. Since I'm redesigning my loop(s) anyway, I'm going to make them easy to drain and refill. (T-lines for in and out with easy to remove plugs for the drain.)
