finally, we got to play with the TUSL-2 and the Celly 1.2, and not only does it work, while my dad was playing with the case, i found that with no voltage bumps or tweaks to anything, i could boot up at 1488mhz.....this is good as my dad would not allow me to do a voltage bump up.....after a good burn in i think i could get this to 1500 even...but were finishing the setup....:)

yup, it booted at 1488 but i never ran wondows at that speed, because we were still halfway through setting up, at defaults it get about 1633 megaflops in Sandra whereas an AMD 1.2 gets 1660....rock on.....i will get to play with this eventually, but for now i must do my homework...

right now its running at 1.4GHZ pushing out Sandra Burn Ins, im not sure how to get the accurate temp though....sandra says it 9C, mbm says its 32, but 32 seems too low, because all ihave is a VolcanoII and the case is open....

Congrats funnyperson! You seem to be devoted and persistent in your work! It takes us old coogers a little longer to catch on to things. ;)

About that heat. 32C would seem about right with the case open and a Vol2 on it! Why wouldn't you think so?

If you can afford it sometime, go to Lowe's Hardware or Home Depot and get you a technicians digital thermometer. And get the flexible wire tempature sensor that goes with them as an accessory.(Flexible Thermocouple) You may have to order it though. shouldn't cost much over 50 bux for a decent one. Or if they don't have them, any electrical wholesaler will. Mite be a little more expensive though.

You should be able to talk your dad into one of those gizmos. You can tell him they are good for anything and everything that needs its' tempature taken; all household appliances, a/c's, aqaraiums, technical gadgets like electronics, automotive, you name it! Tell another ole man on the Internet said all of you could need the thing. You can attach it with the special heat tape for computers, to your cpu's or anywhere in your computer, directly for very accurate readings.

I won't be here to answer back for at least 3 days. Got'ta get ready for the big puter show. And see my dad, as he's extremely sick.

Anyhow glad to hear some good news.

Take Care,
Mike Lamb

Thats too bad, i hope your dad feels better, and also the reason i thing its too low is because it says 31C at idle...

32 Seems right to me for idle...

I get 27 degrees idle..

What are the temperatures full load?

Nope, very common with the Tualatin... it runs efficiently and doesn't change much from load/idle... partly due to the IHS, but mostly due to the chips cool running.
