Happy holidays guys/gals.

I have quickly looked at the forum and dont find an answer for my mobo. I have the Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 and E6600. At the moment I have 4 x 1Gb DDR2-800 Transcend Jetram DIMM 5-5-5 in my system. I have had a few comments that the current ram is not the best for my system??? I am a noob on this and would like your expert opinions on this plse.

I am very much repaired to replace my ram with the best for my set-up. What would u guys suggest. A few options would be nice seeing I am in South Africa and we dont have ALL the resources here. We have most of the brans tho.

Many thx

DDR2-800 at stock freqeuncy can top out a E6600 on high end CPU air cooling.

In other words.. you should be good to go with high end air or average water cooling with your current ram at stock SPD'd settings and Vdimm.

Timings and extra frequency doesn't mean beans to C2D in real world applications, so don't worry about your Cas5.

now.. get some Matrix raid action rolling with that dough you were going to spend on ram ;) with alot of money to spare actually :D

I would have said that ram was fine for that set up, yes there is better ram out there, but for alot more $$$ and with that cpu you could run it at 3.6Ghz with the ram 1:1 and it would = 800mhz.
Now if you want to run 4Ghz yes you will need better ram, but you will all so need some high end cooling.

All that said if you want better ram (that you dont need imo) then I can help you with that, just link me to 2 or 3 store you shop at over there.
