It sound like you want to erase recordes of your mobo from you harddrive. The only way to do that is to reformat the drive, or atleast the partition.
u could just go in to your device manager and start uninstalling stuff, but if u were more specific you could perhaps get better answers

sorry ya, but i made a typo, it should be DMI, not DMA.. what was i thinking?! anyway, the reason i asked the question in the first place is because recently i built a system for my aunt. It is an Abit WB6 with WD 10G ata66 and with my trust worthy 300a@450..:p Anyway, she complained about that the onboard graphic card seen to cause her all the pain in the world, so i simply added a Geforce2 mx400 pci in her computer. Anyway, after that she again protested that the Vcard did not live up to its expectation. So i ran DiabloII, and the computer did not run it smoothly!! I was first puzzled, so i checked the driver, it was ok. No conflict of any sort...So i reformatted hd, but same thing happened again!.. At my wit's end, i simply threw in a bigger and faster RAM, and guess what, min after i installed the RAM, a screen appeared and shown, "there is a registory problem" and then computer just auto fix it. After reboot, everything went smoothly without problems. However, i have to tell u, the board is a NEW board, and everything on it was also new, so i just could figure out where i did wrong to cause such a problem..:eh?: So now i wish to erase all the inform on her board and do it all over agian..:D just to be safe. Now how can i cleam everything include DMI?

according to the manual, one can clean DMI during the process of updating bios, but i think it is "abit" risky to do that, so any other way besides that?
just to be safe if it all works fine now, it aint broke so ?

uh..i just cannot leave my poor aunt all by herself! I simply cannot stand the thought that if the system breaks down once again, and i am not there to fix it for her, i will put the guilt on my shoulder! Well, anyway, i think the mobo has some sort of problem to start with.. I don't want to cleam the mob information from my hd, i want to cleam MOBO'S INFORMATION!

what does ur aunt do that requires a card faster then the geforce 2 mx 400?
if I understand you, all you can do is reformat your hard drive. Recurring registry errors can usually only be solved by a clean install of WIndows.
OR you could find your clear CMOS jumper on your motherboard; that will return the board to it's brand new, fresh-out-of-the-box state. But that won't fix registry errors; it might, in fact, cause more, depending on how much of your BIOS was manually set.

Well, she does nothing more than watching DVD and surfing net. maybe some stationwork. Anyway, it is I who wants to throw in the card, since she is paying everything, and the price of a mx200 and 400 are not different..why not?

I have tried everything i could, include clean the CMOS, reformat the HD, and of course, reinstall the window, with no avail. ok, just let me back up to the beginning. I brought this new Abit WB6 board and built a system. The graphic card is screwed from the beginning (may due the registry problem, not sure), so i changed a Geforce 400 in, but it was still screwed!! So somthing must be wrong at this point, so i just threw in a RAM, then a message appeared showing that there was some registry problem, and computer had taken care of it. And from this point on, everything went smooth without a single problem. oh, i forgot to mention that before the board was not very stable and a lot of functions were lost (of course i had no way of knowing, but now i can compare, after the registry problem is solved).
Anway, i just want to clean everything, and start alll over again.
Ok! now I understand it- I wouldl first do a scandisk, makes sure the HD os working ok. After that, Fdisk, format, and reinstall windows and drivers. That always solves errors for me!:)
there is a possibility that a virus got to it- maybe infected the MBR... fdisk -mbr will fix that tho.
Also, first thing I was taught is that most strange problems can be traced back to a messed up power supply- could'nt hurt to check the voltage coming from it. That's all I can think of.
