Here is a command that may work.

First go to your desktop in the Windows Explorer so you can see how the file is named in the list of files there. Then use the run box.

Type

move [filename] c:\outlook.txt

Then if this command works you can delete the file now named c:\outlook.txt

c:\help.bmp

I believe you can choose what items are displayed on the desktop with Microsofts Tweak UI software

your regestry is screwed with a bad link, here is a link to the page that ms provides with a regclean utility specifically for outlook Express. it also goes into how to remove OE. it does not say so but i think u might need to reinstall OE then follow the steps, including using thier utility, but try removing all the sugested OE system files and runing the utility 1st. hope this helps, it all goes to ms not wanting OE to be removed in the 1st place

think link will take u to a default page then add on ;EN-US;q256219 and just go to it

whats your os if u using ntfs i can try and attach a little tool from the MS resourse admin kit called delrp. or u could serch ms for this tool, most of thier obscure tools are available.

u know u could just do regedit find and find again for the string path outlook/ desktop and eventually u would find it

and sometimes u can boot to dos or go cmd and cd into it and del from the prompt, but i think it will just be rewrote, even if it lets u,
but u never know
