TAT showing different temps on cores ?

usually during orthos .. my temps on the cores are with 1c-2c .. now lately im seeing like 3-5c difference at times ?? is this normal ?? they seem to stay between 1-2c and then jump to a 3-5c difference .. then back to 1-2c ??

My E6400 does the same. Usually 1-3c difference in the cores, but occasionally hits 4c for a moment. Core 1 is always warmer than core 0. It's more of a curiosity than a worry.
