The same thing happened to me. You'll have to manually enter the information. Go into your Folding@Home folder and open the ''client.cfg'' file with notepad or something similiar. Look around and it should say somewhere ''team=x'' Enter 32 in place of the x. You should also find a "username=" This is where you put your name. Fold on

thanks ill try it now.so far i have lost a couple of weeks work to who knows?
mebey it will work now!
You can right click the F@H icon in the tray and select configure in the graphical ver. I haven't run the console ver. So I do not know if their is an icon in the tray. Fold on.
There isn't much benefit to the text only version now, unless the GUI version crashes.
To configure the text only client you have to run it like this...
create a shortcut to the client. Right click on the shortcut and select "Properties". Now where it says "Target" you are going to put -config at the end of the target. The dash before config belongs there and there is a space before the dash. It would look something like this:
target "c:\ProgramFiles\Folding@Home\FAH2console.exe" -config
Then run the client from the shortcut. Wait for it to ask for config info and then enter your information. That should be it.

I think with the new console version you have to start it with the '- config' switch to get it to prompt you for the user / team name, etc.
For some reason with this release Stanford did not force the client in to config mode on the first run.
Editing the client.cfg file may also work, but it may cause issues with it as well. Make sure you open it in notepad, since there are control characters and such in the file. Opening it in wordpad, etc will corrupt it for sure.
Fold On,
