Hi, I have a Belinin Ethernet bridge (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-011-BE) connected to a switch and 2 computers. My problem is that only one computer can get onto the wireless network whereas my old wireless ethernet bridge which was also belkin allowed both computers to be connected at the same time. If one computer is already on and i turn my other on it dosen't get an IP address from the DHCP on the wireless router. if i use static ip address only one will work the other won't recieve any packets. is there a way of solving this problem. Could it be something to do with them all being on the same subnet ?

Perhaps it only works with 1 unique mac address. That's certainly be a way of getting you to get the next model up. What I am thinking is that, rather than doing any work, it simply captures the first souce mac addresses it sees and ONLY uses that mac address, rather than actually routing it to the proper mac address. I would suggest hooking up a router between the bridges, like this
Computers <--> Router <--> Bridge <~~~~~~~~> Wireless router.
This should solve the issue since it will use the router's Mac address as the source mac address when accesing the bridge.

ok thanks, don't think i have another router. this is rather annoying as i had one that worked whiched failed and had to send it back to belkin they sent me this as a replacement but it is a later model. :S

Not really. What you want is to be able to have 2+ people on the other side of the bridge, right? If thats the case, what you need to do is expand the 1 port on the ethernet bridge, to many. How does one do that? A hub/switch.

have you tried turning off DHCP on the access point? (the bridge)

That diagram is exactly what i was suggesting, and if that isn't working, then its a curious thing. Perhaps getting a wireless router that can act as a client (like a Linksys WRT54GL) is in order.
