I'm pretty sure this is going to end up refering back to my hardware or my harddrive.
I'v reciently fixed my computer by replacing the motherboard, from the MSI to an ABIT ZAV8. I suppose these might be irrelevant to my issue, but currently I have tried installing two different versions of XP that I have. x64 bit which is a trial version, and Media Center 2005. Once windows boots into the setup and gets the hardware information it attempts to start windows then blue screens me, giving me an error "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer." The usual error that it always loves to give =P.
It comes up with the following as well...
partmgr.sys
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
Gives you the crap about first time just restart, check hardware, etc etc. Everything seems fine.
Anybody know what it's refering to about the partmgr.sys and how to fix this? I troubleshooted for 2 days or so to eventually get down to replacing my motherboard
Now Windows is giving me this B.S.
Any ideas? Thanks.
