Hi,
I have just used Nero something-or-other to make a DVD of some videos I have. There were 6 300mB ish videos. (Lost S3E1-6). However I played it and noticed
a) the quality was bad (i was expecting this as I compressed it a lot.) in future i will use 2 dvds.
b) there was some VERY bad a/v sync issues towards the end of some episodes 5/6 sec delay.

So my question: Is there a free piece of software that is
i) quite quick for an athlon 1.4gHz T-Bird O/C --> 2.0 gHz
ii) lots of good codecs to choose from
iii) no sync issues
iv) menu making
Either free or v cheap < £15, $30
Please help, I know its a lengthy post but I really could do with this.

Winavi 6.3

Just used it to throw a 3 400 MB XVID AVI's onto a DVD. Took about 4 minutes per file and another 3 per file for the DVD. So about 21 minutes total. Not too bad, but I'm getting tired of encoding...time for an Xbox w/ media center me thinks.
