Folding newbie questions

Hi yall,

after an unsuccesfull try a month ago, I installed the new folding client last night and have been crunching nonstop since. I have my username (azhari) and team number (32) in there. But since I can't see my name on the list at Stanford's site, I wanted to make sure I'm donating my time to the right team (oc us rules, gotta beat those ausies :D )

Is there some way of checking to make sure I've got everything going right?

I know there is a newbie thread up there, but I don't have time to read 180 posts :eh?:

Also, what link do I add to my sig (if I am allowed) for the folding?

and it's perfectly acceptable for anyone to put it in their sig.

If you open up the "client.cfg" file in your Folding@Home Folder, you should see the settings. The name should be your name and the team number should be 32. That's about all you can do without waiting to see the stats after you finish a WU

I have all that setup already. Was just wondering how long before I can see my stats (its already been about 13 hours).

Nothing will show up until the work has been sent back and then it could take a few hours. If it's been 13 hours since the work has been sent in then I would considering looking for the source of the problem. The first thing to check would be for an ID# in the client.cfg.
There used to be a delay of a day or two, but I believe that they don't have that anymore.

No problem anymore....I see myself on there. I just wanted to make sure our team got the credit. Although, if I joined "anonymous" then I'd be part of the number 1 team :D

Just looked at the stats and was going to say the same. Glad to see it.
