RIP x800pro

So The other day I tryed to hard mod my x800 my pencil mod was working fine but I wanted to go for the hard mod. Well that was the worng thing to do =) busted a few traces and then the risistor came half off bah ( im in the process of quiting smokeing and this didnt help ) after the risistor came off I smashed my in 2 . I should have taken pics but I wasnt thinking then and tossed it right in the trash can. Oh well @ least it is a good excuse to upgrade from agp to pcie .

My v-modded X800pro died over a year ago. I still feel the pain in my heart. The one that was most tragic was my 5900XT back in the day.

Man, that sucks to hear that. :cry: You always seem to get cards that OC well too....like that 9800pro that I got off you....the one that I drowned.....DOH! At least now you can upgrade to something a little better, I know that you were looking to do that....just not so soon. :-/

Yeah I know what that feels like, I smoked my 9500 n/p back when that was a good card and an x850xt pe back when that was hot stuff. The x850 wasn't to bad though becuase ATI repaired it for $30.

After that I started using tiny wire and a magnifing glass haven't had a problem since.

Sup man I havent seen you on here in a while . Yea it sucked but Oh well @ least I need to upgrade now vs just wanting to. That 9800pro did oc like crazy , to bad you gave it that drink =)

@ speed : Yea I didnt have a magnifing glass and the wire was almost as big as the resistor was.
