RTC Chip bad?

I got a new Asus P4P-800 E replacing my old one. So far, it runs great except the motherboard clock is messed up. I set the clock 2 PM 12.27.06, and so far when it reaches 3 PM, the clock resets back to 2 PM. What gives?

you might try a new cmos battery?maybe try updating the bios too.

how many times did it do it?
once?
or multiple times?

windows could have done it once (automated time change diff.).

if it cycles its likely hardware related (IE a hardware bug) clock generatior error.
