My DS3 decided to give up in life and blow a transistor (clocked normal surprisingly) tried to RMA to newegg and all is well but they ran out of the damn things. Now i gotta research again...
Guess the contenders are the
evga680
Asus p5b (to deluxe to not to deluxe?)
gigabyte DQ6
or wait for a stock of the ds3
Working with
BFG 7600gt
1gig (2x512) corsair 800
e6300
tuniq tower 120
some crappy tv tuner card
Well whatcha guys got for me? or is there something new out that i should look out for? was partial to spending 130 like i did on the MB but we'll leave that out of this one? any preferences? (that was a dumb question...) moreover...why

Well for $130, just wait for the DS3 to come back in stock. If you can't wait, get a Asus P5B-Deluxe. For the extra $50 it probably will overclock higher than your DS3.

EVGA 680i :p
680i chipset rock stable and easy to use
I also like nVidia's drivers :)

so far ive been reading the complete opposite about the 680i not so much the overclocking but the running in general... your been doing ok i assume? gues i could pick up another 7600gt for like 70 bucks and sli it...
deluxe seems neat but it might just be all that crap i dont need that make it seem neat..lol. sigh decisions

The 680I has promise but as of today the Asus P5B-Deluxe is one of the best boards available. If your wait just a bit the C2 revision of the 965 chipset will be widely available. Early reports show it does OC better.

Anything that clocks decent with a ICH8R southbridge
Asus P5B-Deluxe being the best contender for you if you have ram that can keep up (ie D9GMH corsiar)
If you have Elphia corsair.. might as well save the money and get the Abit AB9-Pro.
If you dont have D9GMH ram but plan on upgrading to D9GMH ram down the road.. Asus P5B-Deluxe.
the wifi is completely optional and going without it will save you some bucks.
(this advise applies to the OP's E6300, so if you have more multi.. ignore it)

no. you wont run into problems its just what FSB you will be able to take advantage of.
It depends on the rev.# as to what IC's are in it.
the IC inquary thread is here http://www.houseofhelp.com/v3/showthread.php?t=44365
If you can spring for the Deluxe get it :)

the TT120 has been used fine with the P5B-Deluxe.. shouldnt be a problem.

alright after fixing my broke arse truck i did a little thinking... how much different is the P5B-E not really going to do a crossfire... if anything would do an SLI cause i already have a 7600gt but thats in the far future...the evga board is damn near double the cost of my original board.

SLI boards don't have matrix raid, so I personaly dont like them
there is a 2.1Vdimm limit on the P5B-E I wouldn't recomend it for E6300 overclocking (you need more Vdimm to get the frequency you need out of your ram)
I would defalt back to my Abit AB9-Pro recomendation, its cheaper then the P5B-E

If you can find a P5B-E v1.02g the vdimm is now up to 2.4V.
