OK, I want some advice on the best motherboard to get the most out of the following:
I plan on getting an E4300 and pushing it for all I can get on air cooling. Quiet will be very important, so I don't expect the world's best overclock, but I DO want to get as much out of this processor as I can in this situation. I plan to get the thermalright SI-128, and use an ultra-quiet 120mm fan on it. (It will be quieter than a stealth, but put out less airflow.)
I will have a case with decent airflow, and a quiet 250mm fan blowing over most of the middle of the motherboard, so airflow will be OK.
I have no need for SLI, and I won't do any serious gaming. I have a 350W fanless ATX power supply which I will be using.
I do need a board where you can adjust the memory ratio, because I don't plan on getting top of the line memory, but I want one with at least 4 slots, so I can upgrade when I get vista. I also plan on having this setup last at least 5 years, and would like to be able to upgrade to quad core, if it is reasonable/necessary.
I was thinking about the P5N-E, even though I don't need SLI, because of the overclocks I have heard of on this board. But I've also heard a lot of people promoting the P5B and the P5W-DH.
So what do you guys suggest? And are there any other boards out there that you think would fit the bill?
Thanks
