internet share for 2k pro and xp

has anyone figured out how to get internet sharing for XP and Win2k to work??? the computer that the line is plugged into is running Windows 2k professional...and ive been at a loss....my mom is bitching at me to get it working so she can have internet so will you guys please help me out...thanks

in win2k you just bring up the properties for the network connection that hooks to the internet and click on the advanced tab and click share this connection. Pretty much the same in winxp

there is no share tab on the network connection proproties

there used to be one, but then it disappeared. i dunno what happened....im gonna try uninstalling the network cards and starting over but i dunno

hmm at my house i had to delete some firewall that was on my nic that XP automatically installed on my computer. Then I shared a folder then everything seemed to run smoothly now.

well i just broke down and installed xp on my new computer, and now everything works....internet sharing and all
