Kinda strange, my wallpaper doesn't save, whenever I restart it goes to a black screen and it's a hassle to put it up everytime I restart. Anyone know why it would do this? Thanks.

How are you setting it?

maybe if you are just right clicking it, try actually going into the display properties control panel and set the desktop background there.

Assuming you're running XP, try running the following registry edit...

Windows XP Doesn't Save User Settings (Line 30)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Save the registry file to your Desktop, then double click it to merge the contents into your registry. If you'd like to view the contents of the *.reg file before merging it, you can open it in Notepad (right click and select "Open with" --> Notepad).

Again, assuming you're running XP... look under the Wallpaper-Desktop-Disable Changing heading here...

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_w.htm

Click on the Allow Wallpaper/Background Changes link (wallpaperenable.reg is the name of the file) to download it, and merge the registry file as you did previously.

Edit: You may need to reboot for the changes to take effect.
