3DMark 2001 and Win XP

I am having a problem running the install for sysmark 2001. Everytime I try to installit on Win XP home, it freezes and auto reboots. I did manage to get the install to work, but as soon as I started the program the system auto rebooted.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Using WinZip, try extracting the executable to a folder and running the "setup" program from there. I had a similar problem trying to install 3DMark2K on a NTFS partition (it installed fine on a FAT32 partition...until I extracted the *.exe and ran the "setup" program).
