hey all, i followed the detailed guide

http://folding.stanford.edu/FAQ-SMP.html

for mac osx and now that it has started i wanted to know if it was normal that it has 4 x FahCore_a1.exe files running...

i tried to install it another way but didnt think it worked, but maybe i did?

should there only be 1 of the exe's running ? and since when does mac osx run exe files or did f@h just label it wrong..

The smp-clients allways start 4 threads, so yes it's normal. ;)

OsX runs any files that are set as executable. I never understood why Stanford names them .exe for Linux and OsX, but the thing is that neither of those operatingsystems really care what the extension of the file is. With OsX the information on what the file is has been put in the headers of the file.
