How does the Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400Pro here
http://shop3.outpost.com/product/4776319;jsessionid=kPNNgwgH9n6Kx7Oysiqntw**.node1? site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG

compare to the G.skill?

Looks like the Gskill has tighter timings than the corsair. besides the bling bling on the corsair, do you think the G.skills are better? 250 seems like a good price on the corsair but i'm more concerned about performance.

Thanks!

According to the chips on ddr2 list http://ramlist.ath.cx/ddr2/ , the GSkills have Mosel IC's.
Don't know what's on the Corsairs. I'm gonna guess Elpida's, judging by the only other "pro" Corsair on there.
So what kind of price range are you looking at?

could it be that the corsairs have Micron D9DQW (BT-37E)? as that is the only PC2-6400 on the list that runs at 5-5-5-12.

I'm just looking for the best bang for the buck.

I'm going to be building a Xeon 3060 (aka e6600) on a p5b dlx. Hoping to aim for 3.6 on air. so i'm not really going to overclock the ram. just wanted a good set vs price ratio. since the corsair is on sale, it looked like a good option.

Thanks!
