windows defender is the best program to monitor what your processes r doing?

So to make sure you know EXACTLY what each pesky process is doing will this tell me?

* Internet Explorer Add-ons - Monitors programs that automatically run when you start Internet Explorer

* Services and Drivers - Monitors services and drivers as they interact with Windows and your programs

* Application Registration - Monitors tools and files in the operating system where programs can register to run at any time


espeically the bolder parts?

i want to know what each pesky process is doing at any time.

lol... the funny thing is... if your smart enough you ALREADY KNOW whats on your computer and what its doing

altho thanks for the tip on the program.

I have my computer running minimal processes at startup and then when running, usually msn, winamp & steam

but will this program monitor your programs and tell you what process is doing what?

is it a decent program?

doubt it has spyware right since its from Microsoft lol?

No, it will not tell you what processes are doing. If you want to know that, get Process Monitor.

It comes with Vista, and I have only seen it pop-up once with a program I use do get music (cause bearshare is occasionally bundled with crapware).
