Opinions Needed

I have put together a new C2D system and am looking into buying a couple of games to try and stress the system. I play UT2004 and like it a lot and I know UT2007 is around the corner. But I am sure todays games are more taxing to the system while probably being graphically superior. What I would like to know is this: which PC game has the best combination of sound,. graphics, stress to the system, and fun factor? I realize "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" but hopefully someone here can convice me to buy 1 or 2 games soon.

F.E.A.R. is a favorite around here. That new Rainbow Six game utilizes Unreal Engine 3.0, so you'll be able to get a taste of that through the game (it's a fun game, too, so it's win-win.)

Oblivion will bring your system to it's knees and have it begging for mercy. I cannot think of a better game to stress test a system.
