GPU Client Catalyst 7.1 Warning

Catalyst 7.1 drivers do not work with the FAH GPU client.

The only versions of Catalyst that work with the GPU client are:

The GPU client will work with these drivers with a significant performance hit:

I don't GPU fold and probably won't, but what gives with each new driver version coming since 6.11 with no GPU folding support? Is this ATI's doing or AMD's?

yeah ... i wonder if ati's focus on this has been lost, or worse, trashed with the amd aquisition?

There was alot of talk about new and even better perf out of the gpu client but have seen much on this. It might just be developement delays, and I am sure stanford is stretched.

Not a big deal staying on stable drivers for folding only rigs, but it does make me wonder. Especailly with me stuggling to find an effective home for my gpu's with smp being much more effective. I will give vmware a whirl before i start getting rid of gpu's. Hopefully some new news comes on the gpu folding front soon. The current client needs to be refreshed by the end of feb i think so maybe that will be my decision time :shrug:
