Like it says. Sure, running BONIC 24/7 while having no performance hit in XP is a nice trick, but to what degree will Vista itself utilize multiple cores?

Its a distributed computing client like Folding@Home, but the projects are more physics oriented than medicine. For example, one of the projects I'm running analyzes satellite data to look for alien signals, another analyzes data from the Large Hadron Collider (a particle accelerator).

Yes of course, what you really should be asking is whether or not the app's you are using are coded for multi-threaded operations.
