eVGA 680i runing HOT?

it is true that the eVGA 680i SLI chipset (NB) run really hot?? i read some reviews on some other sites that said its run in some cases at 80c without a fan... and with the fan on run at 50c (still pretty hot to me)

can someone with this car can tell me what is your chipset northbridge temperature? ilde? full?

Yes, the eVGA 680i I build ran pretty hot too.

Thats because the i680 chipset in general runs hot, regardless of which manufacturer's sticker is on the board =\

This is true to all Nvidia products! My 570 runs fanless at 46C though which is fairly impressive...for nvidia.

A lot of people have been pulling the heat sinks off and reapplying AS5. They claim it helps a lot. From everything I have read, it's running in spec.
