I will be building a crossfire system soon for a friend, and was recently told thet the Asus board was the best for Crossfire, but now the launch of DFI's new Intel board I am not so sure. Someone please give me the pros and cons of this new DFI board. I am very familiar with the Asus board as it is in my current system.

I need to know:
1 Does it accept DDR2 1000? Newegg lists it as DDR2 800 but ZZF has it at DDR2 1000. Who is right?

2 Does the RAID chip seem ok? Asus easy RAID hasn't failed me yet. I am curious about this Promise chip DFI is using on this board.

3 Will a TT120 fit on it?

I think that's all for now. Thanks for any help. -Jim:beer:

Well we went ahead and ordered the DFI board

We have invested $2178.55 so far.

So far we have in possession for this gaming rig:
2 x ATI X1900XT Crossfire cards
1 x 74gb Raptor
2 x 160gb WD Caviar
1 x Core 2 Extreme X6800

And stuff we have already ordered and are waiting on delivery:
1 x Creative X Fi Platinum
1 x Abtec 900
1 x DFI ICFX3200 T2R/G
1 x Samsung SH-S182M DVD/CD burner with Lightscribe
1 x Floppy/Card Reader
1 x Logitech Wireless Desktop

All we need is about another 500-600 dollars for PSU, RAM, fans and lights.
