ok, this christmas i am thinking greatly about buying a new digital camera. However I cannot spend more than $150 since i am trying to build a WHOLE NEW and BETTER system than I have now. I have a really crappy camera right now, like 640x480 or something but i want better quality. I want a camera that could maybe show the stepping on my Duron, or L1 bridges. I know this is a low amount to work with but any help is greatly appreciated.

There're people I know use the Fine Pix 40I, the 50I and 6800. The Fine Pix A101 has 20sec. video capture and sharp PC web cam feature just like its bigger brothers. It comes with 8MB of memory, accept AA battery and an affordable price. Indeed a great entry level camera : )

Sharp Pic FerrariF50, below you can find a lower price for the Finepix 6900Z. For $699 I would go for a 4 megapix digi cam.

hmmm.... gotta check into that...But be careful buying off the net.... I heard alot of "import" 6900Z's have been makeing their way over here... thats why some are like $499 and Fuji will not service it here. Plus the meun could be in Chinese or something...

The thing is with those lowest price dealer, they usually charge ridiculous shipping charge and long processing time because they don't really have it in stock. The reseller rating said a lot about them. I think dealers with around a $600 price tag with good rating is a safe bet.

Well, my mom just bought a digital camera as an early christmas present. Too bad she refuses to use it until christmas :( . Way to expensive for you, it was like $350. Casio QV-3000EX. 3.34 Mega Pixel with quite a few manual features.

Just think... After christmas, all you can finaly see me in full color!!

i have the canon power shot a20 and i love it, its a bit higher than your $150 limit though, lol. i got this thing for $299, you could probably find it for $249 now, the powershot a10 is like 1.2 megapixels and you can find it for under $200. mines the 2.1 megapixel. if youve seen my previous posts with pics of what ive done to my computer you can see how good the pictures look on even the lowest quality setting, lol.
