Twilight Princess Problems

So I finally got myself a Wii. Started playing twilight princess. Everything is all good. I Just got the fishing rod and i try to equip it by pressing the - button to bring up the item menu. Nothing happens.... At first i thought My wiimote could be broken. But I tested the - button in the mii channel and wii sports.. and it works... Am I doing something wrong?

You assign the fishing pole or whatever other item to one of the buttons on the directional pad. Then you push that button on the directional pad to pull out the item. Its you not the game/system ;)

I know that, I read that in the manual. My problem is, the item menu wont even come up. so i cant even assign the fishing pole

Hmm not sure then. I never had any problems like that.

Mandy moore... I guess i can stop by gamestop tommorrow and try another wiimote. I found some other ppl thats been having the same problem

yes... lots of times. Anyway, went to gamestop picked up more wiimotes... problem fixed.

You might wanna talk to Nintendo and get your non-working Wiimote replaced. Apparently they've been really good about it.
