I'm not sure what they're called, but they're like made out of rubber, and they are inset into holes in objects to allow you to waterproof your seals. Kin of like the O-rings except Im looking for square shaped ones of various sizes. Can someone please help me?

That's basically the idea, but what I imagined was buying one long strand and superglueing into the square hole.

Square rubber grommets do not exist. Perhaps you are thinking of channel strip molding or H-strip locking molding.

Depending on the size of the grommet (larger the easier) you could force a round one to fit into a square hole with rounded corners, also superglue is only anygood on organic materials the rubber would be ok, but if your sticking it to metal it wont hold very well.

You can use super glue to meld o-ring stock into a custom sized O-Ring. But yet it won't work very well on metal.

Such a difficulty to imagine a square hole. My mind is having a rough time with this one, all I see is round.
hmmm, square eh?
What material is the device you are trying to seal? *hopes for pics!*

square peg to a round hole?
the term you are looking for is Grommet. Square grommets are usually a custom item and only done for mass production of SPECIFIC items. With some serious searching and a bit of luck you MIGHT find one that fits but I doubt it. As others have stated, what are you looking for this for? We might be able to help you with an alternative or even maybe a better then current suggestion.

There are waterproof sealers that you can use, were you spread it between the two. But there is a rubber pad that you buy at home depot so you can cut out custom gaskets. I cant remember what the name of it was, but my buddy got it if we had to make a custom ring.
Wouldnt a thick piece of rubber do the trick though? If he could make it a tight fit?
