ht problem

When I run pcmark or sandra it says hyper threading is disabled, in my bios its enabled. my board and cpu suppport it, whats going on?

When you press ctrl + alt + delete and go under the performance tab do you see 2 boxes under CPU Usage History? If you do, then HT is enabled and those programs are just misreading.

nope just one. So what could be disableing it.

Nevermind I got it, for anyone that has this problem or has a core disabled boot with xp press f5 choose apci or mulitproccesor then update windows.


Or if your doing a fresh install do this because windows wont always recognize your cpu and once it installs standard drivers its a pain to reverse them.
