Help with network storage

I have a network storage device hooked up to my router (Linksys NSLU2) and I can't get access to it. Now I figured that this was going to be simple; buy it, plug it in, run the software...and then bam, quick, easy network file sharing. But that wasn't the case. I can access the control panel of the storage link, just not the actual files stored on them. I've checked the help guide (not very helpful) and linksys' website (no very helpful either) and still have come up with nothing. Can some please help me?

the NAS has an IP? and has a network share exported as a name? if so, use \\IP number\sharename in a explorer window
