yea check out http://www.virtual-hideout.net and go to the guide section, then select Sound Input guide
or you can get the Sound Blaster Audigy platinum, which comes with the Audigy drive and adds many connections to the front of your case, including a headphone jack!

I just installed this front panel for headphones, microphone, audio in, a usb port and a game port . I can tell you it is a quality product that was shipped fast and works great ! One cool feature is the headphone jack ( when you plug them in ) it cancels out the speakers. I am very pleased with this product. Check it out at www.frontx.com

I was looking into that but then I realized that the only extra pins I had were for usb and those are already being used up
Any other ways?

what do you mean by " extra pins " you mean on the mother board itself ? Most of this stuff plugs into the rear of your pc . The unit gives you a seperate plug for your existing speakers. I used an internal usb plug going to " pins " on the motherboard . Known as a usb header.

sorry
I thought they plug into the mobo
But then where on the back do they plug into
Yea I am using the usb header

the frontx will work fine for you . it splits the speaker output you plug into the output and it gives you a female lead to plug the speakers into . It also gives you the lead for the front which you can use for headphones. The neat thing is it opens the circuit to the speakers when you have the headphones pluged in.
Would I be able to plug speakers into the frontx
If so would the sound be as good as in the onboard sound?

You say the speaker output on the motherboard is bad? If so, you are required to solder wires directly from the speaker output to whatever. What made it go bad? Is it repairable?
