How can I gain access to my files?

I have 2 hard drives in my computer (well more really but only two of them matter right now). One has an installation of XP Media Center Edition and the other has an XP Pro install. I can not boot into the the drive with Pro on it and it has files on the desktop that I need but can not access when booted with the other hard drive that has MC on it. How can I gain access to my data? Keep in mind that I can not boot form the second hard drive and I have been unable to repair the XP install.

Other than posted above, what are the errors you are getting, what is stopping you from transfering them over?
