I've given up on the idea of keeping my DDR1, so im open to any suggestions for a budget conroe motherboard (with vcore adjustments etc). Likely a 945 chipset?

Do you need a 945 or is that all you thought you would be able to get? The P965 chipset overclocks much better and the BIOSTAR TForce965PT is only $105. It overclocks very well for a board of its price.
