I'd search other forums and reviews on the shuttle to see how much power it can give a video card. Obviously an 8800GTX would be the best if it can handle the power (I think the 8800GTX is around 150 watts).

I have a 7900GT and basicly same setup as you. I'm sticking with what I have for a while and will upgrade to an 8800 series or ATI's offering in 3-4 months when prices drop and more games come out. I play at very high resolutions, so I need a powerful videoc ard, but I just can't see dropping the cash on a video card I know will drop 150 bucks+ in the next 3-4 months.

Since your running 1680x1050 I'd stick with the GT for now and save up/wait for prices to drop on the current higher end cards...because although the 8800 series is an amazing leap, it's not worth a 25% or even 50% gain for a card that's worth about 200% more than your current.
